The next lecture in this lecture series will be delivered by Prof. Christine Beemelmanns as per the following details:
Speaker: Prof. Christine Beemelmanns, Hans Knoll Institute, Leibniz, Germany
Title of the talk: Total Synthesis of Microbial Natural Products and Elucidation of Cryptic Biosynthetic Pathways
Date and Time: February 17, 2022 at 04:00 pm (IST).
About the speaker: Prof. Christine Beemelmanns is a Professor in Biochemistry of Microbial Metabolism at the University of Leipzig, Germany. She works on the isolation and determination of the structure of signal molecules and antimicrobial natural products, chemical ecology, and natural product synthesis. The achievement of their objectives requires an understanding of stereoselective synthesis and the interactions between microbes and eucaryotes. Her works are highlighted in reputed journals and science magazines and earned her many accolades. To name a few, she received Young scientist prizes for natural product research, Lecturer prize from the chemical industry. She is a member of VAAM, FEMS, and IUMS.
